It’s not fair to Ray Emery(notes) to call his signing a mistake, because a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage in 29 games is respectable. Injuries have done him in. If you want to smack the Philadelphia Flyers for not signing something more than a complementary keeper, that’s fair; but it’s a shame about Ray.

One quite mercifully, the other sooner than we hoped.Less than 12 hours after rumors Iverson was spotted in a Charlotte night club over the weekend while on indefinite leave from the team, Dei Lynam reports he will not return to the Sixers. Details are still sparse at the moment, so no word on whether his exploits had anything to do with the finalizing of their split, nor has there been any confirmation he attended the event in question.The news on Ray Emery came late this afternoon.
